Conclusion
V for Vendetta (2006)
While remaining quite faithful to the events in the original graphic novel, the political ideas and concepts that the writers imposed upon the story created new questions and concepts not true to the graphic novel, but which were a more advantageous vehicle to send a message to their modern day audience.
"The Wachowski brothers are very, very much concerned about piercing through the mendacity, piercing through the superficiality, not just of America, but of our own modern, postmodern society and culture.” - Dr. Cornel West (professor/author quoted in The Matrix: Revisited, 2009)
