Doona Bae plays four characters in the film, but while her character does have a movement toward enlightenment, as by the end of the film some view the character of Sonmi-451 as a god, she consistently is one who stands up for change and acceptance.  Her evolution, therefore, is in the amount of participation she exerts in being a vehicle for change.
